His Endless Gifts: Healing

July 13, 2012

This post is part of the His Endless Gifts series. I would love for you to join me every week. If you haven't already, please subscribe so you don't miss out!
When I think of healing, I immediately think of all the healing miracles Jesus performed in The New Testament. I believe miracles like these are not a thing of the past, but available to us TODAY. There is so much to be said about the gift of healing it overwhelms me how awesome God is.

The very first time I read The New Testament I had a hard time understanding why Jesus would instruct the people he healed to keep quiet and not tell what He had done. I eventually came to understand He didn't want people to think of Him as a miracle worker. Jesus has so much compassion for his people He not only wanted to heal the physically sick, but the spiritually sick as well.

The gift of healing covers a multitude of areas. He wants us to be WHOLE in every part of our lives; physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and the list goes on! Just another reason to look at the cross! Jesus died to give us life. Not only eternal life, but as we walk this earth, our temporary home, He wants to bless us with joy and to live a life of prosperity and fullness and to be whole and complete in Him.

"But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

So, if you are in need of healing today, whether it be from chronic pain, a broken heart, addiction, or you may be spiritually lost, know you can call on the name of Jesus. I believe one very important thing to remember is no matter what we face our God is BIGGER than It.

Have faith in our awesome God, for nothing is impossible for Him! (Luke 1:37)

Praise God!

Thanks Dawn, I really liked this one. I agree that healing can come on the inside (mentally) just as well as physically.

I've really felt like God has been healing a lot of things I have been holding to in my heart and mind over the last few months. Giving Him the praise for it. ♥
