Five Minute Friday: Opportunity

January 04, 2013

O
h how I rejoiced this morning that today is Friday! Hallelujah! Granted it was a short week after being off for the holidays, but Friday couldn't have come soon enough. Let us rejoice and be glad!

Yup, its that time again. Linking up with Lisa Joe for Five Minute Friday!
Won't you join me?

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Opportunity

GO
Ah, yes the beginning of the new year we are full of new opportunities, looking ahead with hope and anticipation that this year will be the year. The year of what you may ask. Well, the year to do and be whatever God calls us to.

I am not one for making new year's resolutions, probably because I never keep them. This year I started thinking about goals and what I want to accomplish this year, for me and my family. I decided we are going to be more intentional about everything. More intentional about living life the way God intended us to and not missing out on the opportunities and blessings He wants to shower us with.
Just the other day I said that word to my four year old. We were invited to a friend's house. Someone who I haven't seen in a long time. My son was telling me he wanted to stay home, he didn't want to go out. I told him it will be fun. We will meet  new people and besides, we can't stay home all the time. We may just miss out on an opportunity God has opened for us!

Let us not let opportunities slip away. Let's love harder, live more intentional, be who God created us to be! Are you with me?

STOP

And that is all she has. Have a blessed day!

Life is rich with opportunities, isn't it. Big and small. As you did with your son, the key is not missing the small opportunities. Good words!

Hi Dawn,
Yes the New Year does present us with an opportunity to analyse where we are, and look at what we need to change. So grateful that we can hold onto God's perfect plan.
Blessings for 2013
